The Margareta of Romania Royal Foundation, as the promoter of the project “Young Talents – Supporting Artists and Professionals in the Creative and Cultural Sectors” is launching the selection process for beneficiaries of activities aimed at stimulating skills and developing the competencies of emerging young artists.

Talented young people aged between 14 and 24 who study at high schools and universities of music and visual arts and who come from low-income families may apply until October 20. Following the selection process, 30 of them will be supported to establish themselves in the creative and cultural fields.

Over the course of one calendar year, young musicians and visual artists will have access to up-to-date specialized information and knowledge to support their skills development and professional growth through:

• a mobility program in Norway: study visit and exchange of experience
• a creative camp
• mentorship
• three workshops for developing skills in entrepreneurship, project management, and online marketing
• individual consultancy for developing a business plan in the creative and cultural fields

The complete application file must include the application form, CV, a letter of recommendation from a specialized teacher, proof of pupil/student status or a copy of the student ID booklet, a copy of the identity card or birth certificate, and must be emailed by October 20, 2021, to: tineretalente@principesa.ro. The project “Young Talents – Supporting Artists and Professionals in the Creative and Cultural Sectors” is funded through the EEA Grants 2014–2021, within the RO-CULTURE Programme. The total value of the project is 963,678 lei (EUR 195,809.81), of which the non-reimbursable funding amounts to 867,310.20 lei (EUR 176,228.83). The project runs from September 2021 to August 2022 and aims at the sustainable and innovative development of Romania’s cultural and creative industries by stimulating skills and developing the competencies of emerging young artists.
