Each year, more than <strong>5,000 elderly people<\/strong> call us, and in the 10 years since <strong>the Margareta of Romania Royal Foundation<\/strong> launched the helpline, we have answered over <strong>100,000 calls<\/strong>. <strong>We are looking for a communicative, patient, and empathetic professional for the position of Social Worker, to join the Elderly Helpline team in Bucharest.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What will your role be at the Elderly Helpline?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>You will answer the phone, day by day<\/strong>, communicating with elderly people who call us from all across the country and providing them with appropriate solutions to their concerns (information, social counseling, and emotional support).<\/li>\n<li class=\"translation-block\">You will also contribute to and take part in <strong>offline social activities for seniors and elderly people<\/strong> (the <em>TeleClub for Elderly People<\/em>, social lunches for elderly people, mini-events dedicated to them, etc.).<\/li>\n<li class=\"translation-block\">You will be part of the <strong>weekly follow-up call programme<\/strong> for approximately 30 elderly people, becoming their long-term contact person and consistent source of support.<\/li>\n<li class=\"translation-block\">You will contribute to updating our <strong>database<\/strong> with specialized services for elderly people, as well as to drafting the <strong>specific documentation<\/strong> required for our social service.<\/li>\n<li>You will work alongside the other two social worker colleagues from the Elderly Helpline and the program coordinator.<\/li>\n<li class=\"translation-block\">You will be involved in the preparation and organization of the <strong>National Conference on Best Practices for a Beautiful Old Age<\/strong>, held each year around October 1st, the International Day of Older Persons.<\/li>\n<li>You will participate in other activities and projects of our foundation and support other members of the foundation's team, as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>How do you know if you are the right person?<\/strong> If you answer \u201cYes!\u201d to the questions below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Do you have <strong>a university degree in social work and a valid license to practice as a social worker<\/strong>?<\/li>\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Do you have <strong>previous experience working with elderly people, in the social field, or in the non-governmental sector?<\/strong> <strong>If so, you already have an advantage!<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Do you have the ability to work both in a team and individually, with minimal supervision?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have good communication skills, empathy, patience, and an interest in solving the diverse needs of elderly callers, as well as attention to detail?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have a proactive, constructive attitude?<\/li>\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Do you live in <strong>Bucharest<\/strong>?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have computer skills and knowledge of the following programs: Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM databases?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why join our team?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"translation-block\">We offer you a <strong>full-time position<\/strong>, with <strong>an 8-hour\/day shift schedule on a rotating basis<\/strong> (Monday\u2013Friday 8:00\u201316:00 or 12:00\u201320:00; Saturday 8:00\u201316:00).<\/li>\n<li class=\"translation-block\">You will be part of <strong>a team of experienced professionals who provide supervision and support<\/strong>, and you will have the opportunity to grow professionally, if you wish.
