WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A SENIOR VOLUNTEER AT A SOCIAL CENTER
Participate with children and other volunteers in various actions organized within the social center.
Deveniți un model pentru copii, oferindu-le emoții, timp și noi cunoștințe, dar și o resursă valoroasă pentru centru, valorificând experiența dumneavoastră.
Organizați sau vă implicați în activități educaționale, vocaționale sau recreaționale, sprijinit de echipa centrului social, bazându-vă pe profesia, pasiunea sau talentul dumneavoastră.
Vă asumați un rol în cadrul unui centru social pentru copii care funcționează în comunitatea dumneavoastră, fie de îndrumător, profesor sau mentor pentru una sau mai multe activități dedicate unui grup de copii.

Meditations on various subjects from the school curriculum or guidance in completing homework
Educational clubs and workshops around subjects from the school curriculum, such as fun mathematics, traveling around the world, physics or chemistry through experiments, a journey into the world of books, tourist orientation, conversation in a foreign language, reading, the world of art and music, digital skills, etc.
Vocational circles: dance, choir, photography, acting, visual arts, painting, theater, handicrafts, etc.
Practical and craft workshops, such as cooking, tailoring, carpentry, decorative objects, etc.
Personal development: good manners, healthy lifestyle, traffic education, stories with meaning.
Board and educational games club, such as chess, scrabble, monopoly, etc.

VOLUNTEERING WITH “ELDERLY HELPLINE” – BUCHAREST ONLY
Calling Back Elderly Beneficiaries
Regular or occasional follow-up calls with elderly beneficiaries.
Administrative Activities
Administrative support, including assistance in developing the national database of institutions, community foundations, nursing homes, medical offices, etc.
Fundraising
Fundraising support, including assistance in organising events or personal initiatives to raise funds within the community.
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
To build meaningful relationships and ensure long-term impact, we are looking for volunteers with the following profile:
Open, sociable and adaptable individuals, who demonstrate patience, willingness to listen and a strong sense of responsibility.
Strong motivation to work with elderly people. Motivation may be personal or stem from civic or community spirit.
Individuals who share and respect the values of the programme, the Margareta of Romania Royal Foundation and its partners.
Availability of 2 hours per week or occasional involvement (depending on availability and programme needs).

Over time, we have created various solutions aimed at improving their lives, alleviating loneliness, preventing social isolation, or creating opportunities for an active life. The Foundation's programs and campaigns include the For Our Seniors network, the Elderly Fund, the Generations Centers, and the Elderly's Helpline.
