Companies in Romania benefit from a significant tax incentive: they can direct 20% of the corporate income tax (impozit pe profit) they owe to the state toward sponsoring a social cause they believe in.
The sponsorship value can be up to 20% of the corporate income tax, but not more than 0.75% of the company's turnover (the lesser of the two).
Taxpayers wishing to exercise their option to redirect their corporate tax can do so by completing and submitting a Declaration to ANAF, based on a signed sponsorship contract.
