
CONNECTING GENERATIONS IN THE DIGITAL WORLD
Objective
Improving the quality of life and autonomy of seniors by developing basic digital skills and fostering intergenerational mediation, with the support of NGOs and young volunteers.
The Connecting Generations in the Digital World project is part of the Vodafone Foundation’s Hi Digital program for educating older adults and is implemented by the Royal Margareta of Romania Foundation.
BENEFICIARIES
Digital literacy workshops for seniors (smartphone use, access to online services, communication with family members)
Training for NGOs and social centers to integrate digital components into activities for the elderly
Youth volunteering, with young people acting as “digital mentors” for seniors
RESULTS 2025
Workshops were held in Bucharest and the following locations: Arad, Bacău, Baia Mare, Câmpia Turzii, Turda (Cluj County), Buciumeni, Nucet (Dâmbovița County), Galați, Baia de Fier, Hobița, Polovragi, Târgu Jiu (Gorj County), Sighișoara (Mureș County), Sibiu, and Turnu Măgurele (Teleorman County)
