BENEFICIARIES

The Special Fund for Children The Special Fund for Children promptly responds to the needs of families across the country, from rural or urban areas, providing them with support to overcome a crisis situation due to which their children are forced to drop out of school.

We provide concrete financial assistance, for a school year, to children and young people in difficult life situations,in order to prevent their school dropout, juvenile delinquency or social exclusion. The intervention is personalised, depending on the identified needs, so as to ensure long-term effects in the child's life and to increase their involvement or inclusion in the community.

Financial assistance for individual cases is granted directly within the limit of 1500 RON/child to support education.The funding provided to the family or guardian covers the costs necessary to attend school and prevent school dropout and can be used to purchase educational materials, online connection equipment, access to educational platforms, clothing and footwear, food and hygiene products.

How to apply

The Special Fund for Children is aimed at children between 6 and 19 years old from disadvantaged backgrounds, enrolled in a form of state pre-university education, who are in situations of social risk.

The request for help is addressed to the Royal Margaret of Romania Foundation at info@fundatiaregala.ro and is followed by a social survey, then constant guidance and monitoring, throughout a school year.

Cases are resolved within the limits of the funds available at that time, and those that cannot receive immediate help are considered a priority in the next funding round.
