20 Organizations Across Romania Complete Digital Transformation Process

Bucharest, April 15, 2024: 20 small non-profit organizations from across the country benefited from professional communication services and underwent a rebranding process, receiving a complete digital transformation kit, from logo to website, as part of the DOORS project. The initiative was launched to support civic initiatives with limited budgets that are just starting out, with effective communication of social causes among the project’s main objectives.

The DOORS Project – Organizational Development of NGOs in Romania for Sustainability, implemented by The Margareta of Romania Royal Foundation in partnership with Nedland Kultur, with financial support from Active Citizens Fund Romania, a program funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021, aims to develop and sustain 20 NGOs carrying out activities in social, educational, health, civic, cultural, and environmental fields in underserved geographic areas with limited human and financial resources. As part of their organizational development process, they received communication consultancy and a digital transformation kit, provided by the agency Idea Perpetua.

Thus, the 20 non-profit organizations operating in underserved areas in Arad, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Bucharest, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Ialomița, Mureș, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Vâlcea, and Vrancea counties are ready to move to the next stage of development, communicate, and attract community funding with new visual identities, social media pages, and modern websites that reflect their civic missions and activities for the benefit of their communities. The digital transformation kit includes: creation or modernization of logos, development of brand manuals, launching or updating Facebook pages, and website development.

Throughout the project, The Margareta of Romania Royal Foundation provided the beneficiary organizations with the opportunity to be part of a comprehensive transformation process, supported by a team of experts with extensive experience in organizational development, communication, and fundraising. In addition to developing rebranding and digital transformation kits, the program includes training and mentoring in organizational development, streamlining internal procedures, a methodology for good governance and intergenerational practices, and the organization of events and stakeholder consultation activities in each of the 20 communities. The DOORS project’s purpose aligns with The Margareta of Romania Royal Foundation’s mission to discover and inspire leaders to create sustainable and autonomous communities.

“For us, the support received through the DOORS project represented an extraordinary leap that opened up unexpected opportunities. We reached our organization’s new identity after countless hours of consultancy and careful analysis of our activities and context, and we are very satisfied with the results. We recently used the communication materials created by Idea Perpetua to launch our largest project to date – an international poetry festival. Being able to present our organization so professionally brought important partners on board, allowing us to create a prestigious literary contest with over 300 entries and put the small town of Telciu on the cultural map of the country.”– Gelu Vlașin, Director of the European Center for Cultural Excellence in Telciu Commune, Bistrița County.

The project is implemented by The Margareta of Romania Royal Foundation in partnership with Nedland Kultur, with financial support from Active Citizens Fund Romania, a program funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021. Its goal is the development and sustainability of 20 NGOs operating in social, educational, health, civic, cultural, and environmental fields in underserved geographic areas with limited human and financial resources.
