We are hiring a Social Worker for the Phone for Elderly People | full-time, Bucharest
If you wish to support elderly people through social counselling and conversations aimed at alleviating loneliness, then we invite you to join the Elderly Helpline team – the first national, free and confidential telephone line dedicated to elderly people in Romania.
It"s required to have
- higher education in social work
- social worker practice license
- and, very importantly, empathy and interest in the situation of elderly people
The position is based in Bucharest.
Schedule
- flexible between 8:00 – 20:00 (Monday – Friday) and 8:00 – 16:00 (Saturday)
- 8 hours/day/40 hours/week
What you need to do
- Provide psychosocial counseling, information, and moral support to elderly people
- Answer calls and offer appropriate solutions to their problems
- Update the database with specialized services
- Organize and participate in socialization activities with elderly people
- Complete the specific documentation for the social service
