Completion of the project implementation “$E$ – SOLIDAR for Social Economy”, ID 128455
Project co-financed by the Human Capital Operational Program 2014 – 2020, Priority Axis 4: Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction, Specific Objective 4.16: Strengthening the capacity of social economy enterprises to operate in a self-sustainable manner.
GLOBAL COMMERCIUM DEVELOPMENT SRL, in partnership with THE MARGARETA OF ROMANIA ROYAL FOUNDATION, is concluding the project “$E$ – SOLIDAR for Social Economy”, which aimed to actively promote the social economy as a mechanism for generating social inclusion, integrating vulnerable groups into the labor market, and combating poverty.
The project supported the training of 157 individuals from the target group to acquire skills as “Social Enterprise Managers” and assisted in the establishment and operation over 18 months of 24 social enterprises in the South Muntenia and South-West Oltenia regions. The social enterprises established through the project created 96 new jobs.
Project beneficiaries received comprehensive and integrated support through specific entrepreneurial training, personalized support services, financing, and optimal monitoring, so that the 24 social economy structures established through the project could become self-sustainable in the communities where they operate.
The activities carried out under the project during 11.02.2020–10.07.2023 targeted individuals from the implementation regions: South Muntenia and South-West Oltenia, who wished to establish a social business in urban or rural areas and who resided or had domicile in the project’s implementation regions.
The total value of the project “$E$ – SOLIDAR for Social Economy”, according to funding contract no. 1155/10.02.2020, was 13,858,844.13 RON, of which 13,693,147.38 RON represented non-reimbursable financing.
