The Evening of The Margareta of Romania Royal Foundation at Elisabeta Palace – June 24, 2021
Bucharest, June 25 – On Thursday, June 24, in the presence of Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, the Evening of The Margareta of Romania Royal Foundation took place—an event dedicated to company leaders who contribute to a better Romania, as well as to the most valuable partners and sponsors who have supported the Foundation’s projects.
Every year, distinguished representatives of companies that have contributed to the development of the Royal Foundation’s social and educational projects are invited to celebrate the results at a special event held at Elisabeta Palace. The Foundation Evening is an occasion to acknowledge and appreciate the most important initiatives of social involvement undertaken by the Foundation’s partners and sponsors. Thanks to their sponsorships and support, the Foundation continued its work during the pandemic as well, providing assistance to elderly people living alone, helping children from disadvantaged families continue online schooling, and supporting talented young people in pursuing their dreams—thus continuing to have a positive impact on community development.
In her opening message, Her Majesty Margareta, President of the Foundation, thanked the companies for their joint efforts, as well as everyone who demonstrated involvement, solidarity, and civic responsibility during these difficult times. Her Majesty promoted the Foundation’s vision of building a better Romania through intergenerational collaboration and through the adoption and implementation of intergenerational projects across multiple communities by their leaders. The Evening of the Royal Foundation at Elisabeta Palace continued with a speech by Executive Director Mugurel Mărgărit, a classical music recital performed by scholarship recipients of the Young Talents program, and a cocktail reception in the beautiful garden of the Palace.
